SGN - PhnomPenh 5days
Day 1: HO CHI MINH CITY/ MY THO/ CAI BE
Meeting point is at 10H30 at the lobby of the Sofitel Hotel. Then, drive through to My Tho - the gateway to the Mekong Delta. On arrival, embark on board L’AMANT and enjoy a lunch and get acquainted with the crew.
After lunch, board a river-boat to explore the hidden treasures of the Xep canal and islands with tropical fruit gar dens. An exciting ride on a carriage drawn by small horses awaits you for a stroll through the fascinating farming villages. Enjoy the tasty fruits and tea with natural honey.
Then continue your journey on a sampan boat through small canals.
Welcome dinner and overnight on board of L’AMANT.

Day 2: CAI BE/ VINH LONG/ SA DEC
After breakfast, embarking on a local sampan boat and sail through the Cai Be’s floating market and taking the 2 rowing boat through the numerous arroyos and be captivated by the serenity of the Mekong Delta. Visit an ancient colonial house and a rice popcorn factory and taste the local specialties. Lunch Return on board of L’Amant for lunch.
In the early afternoon, take a small boat for a journey towards An Binh islands, continue the tour by bicycle to visit Tien Chau ancient pagoda, some tropical fruit orchard gardens and witness the everyday life of the Mekong Delta. Continue to visit a traditional house and enjoy some mouth-watering tropical fruits. Anchorage near Sa Dec.

Day 3: SA DEC/ NEAR CHAU DOC
After breakfast, tour Sa Dec, the town where the French Writer, Marguerite Duras spent her childhood. Famous for its flowers and bonsai plants, stop at the ancient house of Huynh Thuy Le, the "house of the Chinese” described in Marguerite Duras’novel, L’Amant. Pass-by the school where Margerite’s mother has taught and be charmed by Lunch the pleasant greetings of the school children.
Return on board of L’AMANT for lunch.
Sail to Chau Doc. During the afternoon you can enjoy a cooking demonstration and Mekong fruit tasting or just relax on the sun deck Anchorage on the way to Chau Doc.
Dinner and overnight on board.
 
Day 4: CHAU DOC
In the morning, take a small boat to explore the fascinating 4 floating market of Chau Doc, the border city with Cambodia.
Here, early in the morning, tens of sampans gather to trade fruits Lunch and vegetables in a surprising ambiance. Head to a floating fishing farm where thousands of fishes are breed for export and visit a mosque in a Cham village.
In the afternoon, visit Sam Mountain, a popular pilgrimage site where you will find a large number of Chinese, Cham and Khmer temples.
Farewell dinner and overnight on board.

Day 5: CHAU DOC/ PHNOM PENH
After breakfast, disembark and depart to the Cambodian border by speed boat, go through the customs formalities and continue your cruise to Phnom Penh arriving by early afternoon.

SGN - PhnomPenh 7days
Day 1: HO CHI MINH CITY/ CAI BE/ VINH LONG
Meeting point: 7h30 at the lobby of Sofitel Hotel. Depart by coach around 8:00 am to Cai Be, in the very heart of Mekong Delta.
Upon arrival, board a local boat to sail through the canals and explore Cai Be floating market, an ancient colonial house and a handicraft workshop.
Embark on board L’Amant for registration and lunch. Early in the afternoon, board a small boat for a trip to An Binh Island. Then visit by bicycle the Tien Chau pagoda (ancient pagoda), fruits garden and witness the daily activities of the inhabitants. On the way, stop at an orchard to sample tropical fruits before continuing the journey along small canals to visit a bonsai garden.

Day 2: VINH LONG / SADEC / VAM NAO / LONG XUYEN
After breakfast, transfer by boat to the shore. This morning, visit of Sa Dec Town where some ancient colonial houses still remain, famous for its flowers and bonsais. This is a quiet town where French Writer Marguerite Duras spent her childhood. Discover the "House of the Chinese” described in Marguerite Duras’novel, L’Amant, and continue with the visit of the school where her mother was a teacher and scroll in the quiet streets to have a glimpse of the daily life of the locals. Return on board of L’AMANT for lunch.
This afternoon, a cooking demonstration will be organized for your pleasure. Experience the preparation of traditional Vietnamese dishes and enjoy eating them afterwards and Mekong fruits tasting or just relax on the sun deck.
For those interested, the Captain will show the cockpit as L’Amant continues her journey upstream towards Vam Nao. Anchor near Long Xuyen.

Day 3: LONG XUYEN/ CAI SAN CANAL / RACH SOI
After breakfast, L’AMANT will start cruising down another main branch of the Mekong (Hau River). Stop at Long Xuyen to visit by « Xe Loi » (Rickshaw) the city, its museum and its local market. Lunch on board.
Sail through a narrow river and be fascinated by the lively incessant crisscrossing of junks and sampans before reaching the peaceful canal Cai San to Rach Soi. Throughout the cruise, you will enjoy the facilities on board of L’AMANT while discovering the charms of rural life in the Delta. Arrive in Rach Soi later in the afternoon.

Day 4: RACH SOI / HA TIEN
After breakfast, depart by coach to Tri Ton, a place renowned for its numerous Khmer sanctuaries.
After visiting the Khmer temples, enjoy the local lunch Continue by road to Ha Tien to explore the small provincial border town with its markets and colonial houses.

Day 5: HATIEN / HAI TAC ARCHIPELAGO / BA LUA ARCHIPELAGO
After a few days of sailing into Mekong Delta’s branch and canals, today, the sea cruise will start heading South East to the Hai Tac archipelago. Earlier known as the Pirate Islands, this archipelago used to be the home base of Khmer Pirates who invaded the Christendom of Ha Tien in 1778.
This afternoon, a cooking demonstration will be organized for your pleasure. Experience the preparation of traditional Vietnamese dishes and enjoy eating them afterwards and Mekong fruits tasting or just relax on the sun deck.
Visit of one of the island with its fisherman villages before continuing saling to Ba Lua archipelago. Freshly Caught Seafood Dinner and overnight on board

Day 6: BA LUA ARCHIPELAGO/ HON CHONG / HA TIEN
After breakfast, cruise among the numerous clustered islets of Ba Lua Archipelago and discover the Vietnamese Southern coasts.
Stop en route for a stroll on an island and if the weather allows, drench yourself in the warm waters of the Gulf of Thailand.
Return on board.
Farewell dinner and overnight on board. Anchorage near Ha Tien.

Day 7: HA TIEN DISEMBARKATION
After breakfast, disembarkation at 8 :00 am and travel by road to the border.
Go through the Prek Chak border gate in Ha Tien around 9 :00 am and enter in Cambodia. The Cambodian guide will wait for you, change of vehicle.
